Established in 1974, Turkey Farmers of Canada (TFC) is the national organization representing over 510 turkey farmers across the country. It operates as the national marketing agency (legally the Canadian Turkey Marketing Agency) to ensure a stable and sustainable turkey industry in Canada.

Core Functions & Services:

• Supply Management: Oversees the national supply management system for turkey, balancing production with consumer demand to ensure stable prices for consumers and fair returns for farmers.
• Marketing & Promotion: Manages national branding and promotional campaigns (such as “Think Turkey”) to encourage the consumption of Canadian turkey year-round.
• On-Farm Standards: Administers national programs for food safety and animal care, ensuring high standards for bird health, antibiotics use, and biosecurity (including Avian Influenza monitoring).
• Research & Sustainability: Funds and disseminates research on poultry health, nutrition, and sustainable farming practices to keep the Canadian industry competitive.
• International Trade & Advocacy: Represents the interests of the Canadian turkey industry in international trade negotiations and provides industry facts, stats, and regulatory oversight.
• Education: Provides resources for the public and industry members, including virtual farm tours, annual reports, and nutritional information via their consumer-facing site (canadianturkey.ca).

• Bilateral Relations: Fosters political, economic, and security cooperation between Australia and Canada, two nations with shared histories and Commonwealth ties.
• Consular Services: Provides emergency assistance, notarial services (legalization of documents/certified copies), and support to Australian citizens living in or traveling through Canada.

The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Canada serves as the representative office of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Canada. Since Taiwan and Canada do not have formal diplomatic ties, TECO functions as the de facto embassy, handling bilateral relations and providing essential services to both Taiwanese and Canadian citizens.

Core Functions & Services:

• Bilateral Relations: Promotes economic, trade, investment, cultural, and scientific cooperation between Taiwan and Canada.
• Consular Services: Manages the issuance of visas for travel to Taiwan, passport renewals for Taiwanese citizens, and the legalization/authentication of documents.
• Economic & Trade Support: Facilitates business partnerships, tracks market trends, and assists with talent attraction and investment between the two regions.
• Education & Culture: Administers scholarships (e.g., Taiwan Scholarship), research grants, and Chinese language testing (TOCFL). It also promotes Taiwanese arts and culture through events and information sharing.
• Science & Technology: Coordinates technological exchanges and promotes integrated diplomacy through innovation and tech partnerships.
• Citizen Support: Provides emergency assistance to Taiwanese nationals traveling or residing in Canada.

Regional Presence:

Headquartered in Ottawa, TECO in Canada oversees a network of regional offices in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal to ensure nationwide service coverage.

Indigenous Youth Roots is a national Indigenous youth-led organization that collaborates with communities to provide programs, grants, and opportunities grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing and being. Capital Projection Services provided essential audio/visual and lighting support for their community event using the OAG Partner Rate.

The technician was engaged for the afternoon session (12:00–16:30) to facilitate both formal presentation and informal networking:

• Presentation Readiness: The primary setup included a microphone and podium, along with a projector and speakers with the necessary HDMI/laptop hookup for the presentation content.
• Ambiance: Lighting was specifically configured to enhance the atmosphere for the networking and mingling portion of the event, ensuring a comfortable and engaging environment for youth and community members.

This support helped Indigenous Youth Roots amplify their voices and connect their participants through a well-equipped venue.
