The Mayfair Theatre, Ottawa’s oldest independent cinema and a cultural staple known for regular screenings of classics like Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Room, has maintained a trusted partnership with Capital Projection Services for over 10 years. We provide essential projectionist services and additional technical help for special events.
Our commitment to the Mayfair covers both modern infrastructure and classic exhibition. We hold an ongoing monthly contract (starting January 1, 2024) to manage various projection booth services and automation. A significant project included the installation and custom wiring of the QSC DCP 300H cinema processor, ensuring the theatre is equipped for high-quality 5.1 and 7.1 digital audio. Crucially, we maintain the cinema’s analog heritage by supporting 35mm screenings, including a dedicated engagement in March 2025 for the projection of the film Unforgiven, which required our team to handle the full make-up and breakdown of the film print.
